WELCOME

HYDRO is a unique USA Swimming program based in New York City.  We train in small groups at various pools and are focused on success at the National and International level.

Our mission is to instill the Greek Ideal of strength in body, mind and spirit in swimmers.  We accomplish this through innovative teaching and intense training for competition.

While the ultimate goal of HYDRO is to produce Olympic champions, we are equally dedicated to the idea that athletes of all abilities can become "Olympian" by strengthening themselves through the pursuit of excellence and personal improvement.

Our founder and Head Coach Brian Brown has 20 years of experience with exceptional swimmers.  In recent years he has developed numerous National Champions and Record Holders, National Youth Team members, and USA Olympic Trials qualifiers from the NYC area.

HYDRO NEws

05/14/12 -- HYDRO swimmers did very well at the LIAC Spring Kick-Off last weekend. Nader Yamout led the way posting lifetime bests in four of his six races. He swam best times in the 100 Freestyle (59.37), 200 Freestyle (2:06.52), 100 Backstroke (1:05.98), and 200 Backstroke (2:22.65), and was just two tenths of a second off of his best 100 Butterfly time. Nader and teammate Diego Rueda had a great race in the 200 Butterfly, taking fourth and fifth place with times of 2:18.25 and 2:18.55, respectively. Diego swam a lifetime best in the 200 Freestyle (2:07.09) and turned in a strong 800 Freestyle (9:03.76), claiming third place in the event. Nicole Rodriguez had a great 200 Backstroke, winning the event with a time of 2:24.61. She almost even split the race which bodes well for her next racing opportunity at the Santa Clara Grand Prix in two weeks. Great job, HYDRO! Complete results can be viewed here.
